How we met

First come school, then comes travel ....

For Bradley and myself this is such a "fairytale" love story that never was something we truly sought out. But it usually is a crowd favorite story so I will do my best to tell you it in 2000 letters or less. In 2017 I had decided to quit my corporate job, sell everything I owned, and go backpacking around Central and South America, and Southeast Asia. My friends told me I was going to come back in love, but I was not seeking anything like that! Little did I know Bradley Bain (I called him James for at least 2 days straight) was going to walk into my life. Through a mutual friend Brad and I connected on Facebook because he was in Costa Rica headed to Nica and I was leaving Nicaragua and headed to CR. When we added each other on Facebook I quickly realized that through our 150 mutual friends we had to have crossed paths at Texas State University. We both majored in the same degree and graduated the same year. One of many coincidences. I knew him being a fellow Bobcat meant he was awesome and going to be so fun! So we decided to meet in Nicaragua and go to the famous Sunday Funday pool party where the rest was history. We instantly hit it off and had a strong connection. Which led Bradley to meeting me back in Costa Rica and travel with me for another 3 months. Which YES including meeting my entire family who lived in Panama at the time. Traveling with someone like that, hostels, chicken buses, days with no other people brings you together in a deep way. Everyone fell in love with Bradley. And the truth was so did I. Our love story is unique and our very own. We faced incredible challenges, lots of brick walls, and growth. But one thing never changed, he was always the one. We had so many opportunities to connect but God knew it was never quite our time yet (including being a match on Bumble back in 2016, haha), Our love is far from perfect, but as I always say, it is perfectly imperfect and we could not be more blessed and thankful for one another!!
