Not everything that happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... Braden was in Vegas for Monster's Annual Sales Meeting, and I went for a random last-minute turn around trip thanks to my sister. By some twist of fate, we were both staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and my friend Jen who was also Braden's co-worker invited me down for a drink at the circle bar. As I walked up with a Truly in hand Braden asked if I brought that drink in myself. Of course, I said," Yes, you want some?" He quickly offered his seat and took a drink from the Truly as if we had known each other for years. When Jen & I mentioned we were going to go out Braden ran upstairs and changed in less than 5 minutes. From there we spent the night walking around Vegas taking shots of tequila and drinking champagne with our now best friend Randy. We were smitten with each other and didn't want the night to end. Braden was too shy to ask for my number, so I made the first move and gave it to him. The following weekend after we both got back Braden asked to go on a date at the Aquarium of the Pacific (because he thought I lived in L.A. and that would be a good halfway point). We arrived we quickly realized the aquarium was a bad choice on a Saturday full of kids during the Summer. We changed our minds and went to the Yard house and ordered a bottle of champagne where we talked, laughed, and watched college football. We both left that date knowing we were in for a long time with each other and lots of fun memories.

We were finally able to plan our trip to Pittsburgh and we had a fun filled weekend planned with tours, Penguins hockey game, Primanti Bros., and of course the Steelers game. We were lucky enough to not only book a room at the new Landing Hotel which is right across the street from Heinz Field (it will always be Heinz Field to Bri), but we also got a free upgrade to an executive suite that had a beautiful view of the river. On Saturday we headed out early to the Strip District to eat breakfast and do some shopping for Steelers/Penguins gear. We had a delicious breakfast at a cute cafe called Everybody Loves Raymond. I was enjoying some Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes meanwhile Braden was nervously trying to get down some of his Brisket Hash. It was finally time to head to our tour of the Steelers stadium and I could not decide what to wear and kept asking Braden what to put on. Thankfully he was able to pick the perfect outfit without me suspecting anything. It was a beautiful fall morning as we walked to the stadium and checked in for the tour. When we arrived, the tour guide distracted me by directing me to go fill out a sign. Out tour guide came up to Braden to let him know to wait for his queue for the proposal. He had no idea what that "queue" was going to be or when, so he went along the tour full of nerves. He kept asking when we were going to go down to the field and I couldn't understand why he was so excited to see the grass. We finally make it to the field, and I was trying to take pictures, but the tour guide was telling everyone to wait until we made it to the other side of the end zone where the scoreboard is. When we reached the other side our tour guide was explaining how this was the part of the tour where he asks two people to come up and say something. I already knew they were going to pick us because Braden always gets chosen! Sure, enough he calls us both up and we stepped on the grass in the end zone. My mind was racing trying to figure out what I was going to say so I didn't even notice what Braden was doing at first. Then he proceeds to say," Babe, I love you and I know this is your favorite place. You are my favorite person and I want you to spend the rest of my life with me. Will you marry me?" I instantly started crying and finally was able to get out a " YES!" It truly was our perfect dream proposal!

Our ceremony will be held at the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows on the Villas Lawn with panoramic views of the nearby islands. Dinner, cocktails, laughs and dancing will take place at the stunning Oceanfront Cottage Lawn. We love you all and cannot wait to celebrate our special day with you. Let's get Maui'd!
