Our Story

"When you know, you know..." That's what they say, right? Well, I'm here to tell you that’s 100% true...at least in my case. It was 8:13 a.m., the morning after our third date, when I "knew." I literally wrote in my notes on my iPhone..."I think I met my person. The next few months are going to be really special." And boy, was I right! That was May 2019, and now here we are almost two years later and about to embark on a whole new chapter. Meeting Brad, falling in love with my best friend and building this life together has truly been the greatest joy of my life. We cannot wait to say "I do" and celebrate with Y-O-U!

How we met...

The first time? A decade ago at a bar in Atlanta. I was home from Auburn for winter break and out with friends when Brad and I literally ran into eachother. We introduced ourselves, chatted for awhile, then exchanged numbers. But timing is everything and it wasn't ours quite yet :) Fast forward ten years, same story, different place. This time Brad and I ran into eachother at a spring training game in Orlando. We couldn’t believe how much time had passed. After sharing a few laughs, we said goodbye. A few minutes later, I couldn’t stop thinking about him so I had to see if I still had his number... Thank goodness, I did. I sent the first text which proceeded into many more over the next few weeks. We chatted every single day. I look back on this time and I am so thankful for it. We didn’t know it but we were building the foundation of our relationship one rooted in friendship, communication and love.

THE Proposal

“Did you know it was coming?” NO! For a girl who has spent a decade in news, it’s pretty hard to pull a fast one on me, but Brad definitely did! We talked about a future together very early, so I knew it was a matter of time. We love the beach (obviously), so your girl was trying plan a vacay ASAP. I thought he would propose on our next trip, but we were three months into a pandemic, so I figured it would be awhile before he popped the question. Wrong. It was June 6th, 2020. We already had plans to celebrate another contract extension for me at our favorite restaurant. Looking back, he never once gave any inclination of what was about to happen. When we got home a few hours later, he handed me my eye mask and said he had a surprise. He led the way inside our home which he had transformed into this magical, enchanting fairytale filled with flowers, candles and photographers capturing every moment. He turned me around, told me to take my mask off and there he was the man I waited my whole life for down on one knee. Easiest yes of my life.
