our greatest adventure awaits

We met through some wonderful college friends and dated on and off again until summer of 2019. We hit it off so well on our first date that it lasted six hours! We loved spending time in Ryan’s corvette talking and getting to know each other. July 29th, 2019 we made it official and the rest has been history. In October of 2019, Ryan took me for my first visit to the Adirondacks since I was a kid & it was life changing. Our love story spans the mountains of the Adirondacks over the past several years - camping from Old Forge to Lake Placid and Keene Valley, hiking mountains like Wright Peak, Giant Mountain, Cascade Mountain, and many more. We aspire to complete the 46 high peaks and become “Adirondack 46ers” in our lifetime together. We also have both grown to love watching NFL games - especially the Buffalo Bills, having been lucky enough to enjoy a few snowy and chilly games together! We enjoy so many hobbies together and cannot wait to watch each other grow over the course of our lives together. Our three year anniversary was one week away. It was a Sunday and we had dinner plans with Sara’s parents at our favorite restaurant, Rosalie’s Cucina in Skaneateles. Nothing was out of the ordinary - we usually go for a glass of wine at local winery Anyela’s Vineyard before dinner at Rosalie’s. Sara had no idea what was planned for the day! We ordered our usual glass of wine & a charcuterie board to enjoy while overlooking the lake. Ryan suggested they take a nice walk through the gardens while enjoying the wine, and Sara was oblivious. Ryan proposed & Sara was beyond shocked! Afterwards, we met up with Sara’s parents and she was surprised with Ryan’s mother Lori and his step-dad Rodney joining us to celebrate. It was the most perfect way Ryan could have proposed & Sara will always be so impressed he kept it such a well hidden secret!

Sara is a huge fan of hosting, and this is the ultimate event! If you were in attendance of our engagement party, you may have noticed her vision board. A photo of the vision board is in our photo gallery! It will be a fun thing to look back on and see how our taste changes as we plan. We are deeply inspired by a rustic theme, but also love some gilded glamour, as we both love all things cocktails.
