Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Tara Boyette and Ryan Blumer
Our special friends and family who we are honored to walk down the aisle with.

Kenzie Boyette

Maid of Honor

Sister of the bride, but most importantly Tara's built in best friend. I have no idea how I would've survived life this far without this girl. She is my rock, my wackadoodle goofaround buddy, harmonizing companion (whether it's on or off key), and the only one who truly and deeply appreciates a good pun exchange. Anyone who meets her knows in an instant that we are sisters, and that's really all I can ask for. We turned out pretty weird, but I'm glad we're in it together!

Greg Blumer

Best Man

Greg has been my brother since the day he was born. Although we would argue and fight as kids, he is now one of my best friends and we have been able to share many adventures. It is clear that he is good at whatever he decides to try his hand at and I am seriously worried that he is better at climbing than I am now, even though I started well before him. Through climbing, we have been able to spend some wonderful time together recently and I am so excited for the many adventures that we still have in front of us.

Mackenzie Lang

Bridesmaid

BFF since the good ol days aka high school. Mackenzie is what I like to think of as the ringleader of our little circus choir group. She is always the one to dream up or be the first to bandwagon onto a ridiculous plan. The laughs we've shared over the years are incomparable and I will cherish the times we've shared together for the rest of my life. Our weekly virtual happy hours have been the light of this entire year and I love being a part of her adorable family's life too. She also my voice of reason in most life situations. She truly is the big sister I never had.

Travis Linscome-Hatfield

Best Man

Yes, there are two best men. Travis is, by direct admission of my mom, the second son. He and I have been adventuring, and mis-adventuring, together since middle school. Travis is always down to go snowboarding or backpacking even though he usually only returns with one sock. In all the time since we first became friends Travis has remained one of goofiest, kindest, and most fun people I know.

Jodi Sylvester

Bridesmaid

Jodi is another gem from my high school crew Even though Jodi is a couple years older than me, she was always so welcoming of the weird younger kid in the group. She is a must-have at every gathering because she brings all the fun and the craziest ideas. One fond memory with Jodi included filling water balloons and dressing as bandits to crash the senior boys' game of manhunt in the park. It ended with some of the boys throwing us in the hot tub, but I'd say it was worth it for the memories. There are so many more where that came from and I can't imagine how boring my life would be without you and am so grateful for the amazing friendship we've shared over the years.

Alex Adamczyk

Groomsman

Alex has been a steadfast friend and constant joy since we first met playing soccer freshman year of high school. We made a good team as forwards for the years that followed, me dribbling the entire defense and then him tapping in the easy goal. Fortunately, he never got a big head about that. Having visited Alex in many of the places he has lived I have been subjected to many a "death march" at his hand: meaning we go out for a short walk and end up covering the entire city on foot over an 8 hour period. In all fairness, he has been subjected to a few death marches by me and Tara in return. He is also always ready to have a discussion (heated argument) but is the kind of person that will immediately be joking with you afterwards.

Janna Raley

Bridesmaid

Ryan's cousin, sort of Long story short, Janna's parents introduced Ryan's parents and the kids all grew up together pretty much as cousins. Lucky for me, Janna moved to Seattle shortly after I did and we became great friend instantly. It went so far that we somehow convinced her to move in across the hall from us and spent a wonderful 2 years creeping on each other's comings and goings from the peep hole (we don't know what boundaries are, Barb), riding the bus to and from work, drinking too much gin on the couch and walking to our favorite salon for pedicure dates.

Trevor Black

Groomsman

Trevor and I go all the way back to elementary school; we have played soccer together, gone on road trips, done Tough Mudders, and basically spent 3 straight months seeing each other every day after college graduation. Trevor has always been the person that is happy to host, be it just a couple friends or enough for a party. He is the person that can make any situation fun, even driving 17 hours straight from Nashville to Denver eating cold risotto and drinking Baja Blast.

Anika McEwan

Bridesmaid

My college and study abroad bestie! Anika and I met in a strange stroke of fate. Both of us set off on our first international adventures intending to befriend a slew of international students, but instead got assigned the same flat as all the CU students in the same program. Turns out, summer study abroad is an American thing, so there were a lot of students from UCLA. We were lucky enough to find each other and share so many memories exploring history, traipsing around the English countryside, laughing until our cheeks hurt and drinking way too much cheap wine from the grab and go. Thank goodness we could come back to the same state for more amazing memories!

Hunter Reehoorn

Groomsman

Hunter is my future brother-in-law, and I could not ask for a more awesome person to have for a new brother. We have been able to bond during his few trips to Seattle and he is one of the most genuine and happy people I know. His authenticity and enthusiasm make every time we talk or hang out a wonderful experience. I can not wait to have him show Tara and me around Austin (post covid) and see his knowledge and expertise in food be on full display. I am excited to continue sending each other homebrew and cider, and spending quality time with him.

Chelsea Ringer

Bridesmaid

Hung on to this girl since Junior High! Yes, you heard it here first people. Chelsea is my main squeeze. We've been together since braces and skirts with leggings - puberty and beyond! She has been there for me through all the major teenage life crisis and everyday since then. She is the most talented, driven and supportive person I know. It has been an absolute honor to see her grow up into the woman she is today and to share a lifetime of memories with her.

Alex Hubbard

Groomsman

Alex and I met in Seattle, through his cousin Matt Becker, and it was immediately clear that he was always on board for any sort of adventure. In the relatively few years I have known Alex we have climbed dozens of times, backpacked on the Olympic peninsula, built out camper vans together, and spent many days at the local breweries. He is always willing and ready to learn and to push his friends to improve as well. Alex will immediately entice you with his warmth and can make any situation into a good time.

Mack Becker

Bridesmaid

Known her forever but bestfriended as adults Yes, I have three Mackenzies in my wedding party, and no it's not confusing. This Mackenzie, or Mack, as I call her is such an essential addition to my life and am so grateful she appeared when she did. Mack joined our little climbing entourage in 2018 and started climbing rock faces like Spiderman. She will deny it, but she's a natural. We bonded over camping hammock happy hours, seafood fest, trips to vantage, takis, brewery tours, and of course, our epic trip to Costa Rica.

Matt Becker

Groomsman

Matt and I met when Tara and I ran into him at a climbing gym in Seattle. He and Tara went to high school together and neither of them knew they were both living in Seattle at the same time. We quickly became friends as Matt is the kind of person that is always on an adventure, always inviting people to do things, and always ready to join your trip at a moments notice. We have spent many weekends climbing and sitting around a camp fire, and we were also able to make it to Costa Rica with Tara and Mack right before covid. Although we live in different states now, I am sure we will be finding many more adventures to go on in the future.

Sarah Lewis

Bridesmaid

BFF since 2016 Thank goodness I started my job at Corporate Traveler, because it brought me one of my favorite people in the entire universe. The first work event we had, I was so nervous because I didn't know anyone. Sarah was the most friendly and welcoming one of the group and her and I bonded immediately over our world travels. I remember telling Ryan that night that I had met such a cool girl and we would be great friends. I am so incredibly grateful for all of our weird and hilarious adventures over the years.

Sir Walter

Dog of Honor

Sir Walter Wigglebutt is the goofiest, most wonderful dog we could ever have hoped to rescue from Texas. He has immediately taken to the adventure lifestyle and loves sleeping in the van, road trips, and exploring the outdoors. He has become a central part of our life and we can't wait to see him continue to grow into the adventure dog we know he will be.

Bob Reehoorn

Officiant

Bob is Tara's step dad and we are honored to have him officiating our wedding. With his military background, we know that he will get straight to the point, but if you know him, you also know he is one to easily woo a crowd with his storytelling and charisma. Bob is proud of his roots growing up in the Skagit valley, so it is fitting that our ceremony is near his hometown. He is the most thoughtful and caring dad and we are excited to have him play such a integral part in our special day.
