Mutual Weirdness Forever

Meeting right before a worldwide pandemic is generally not the ideal way to start a new relationship. But that's exactly what happened. Three whole months before the world shut down, Marisa and John matched via an app. After a first date with pancakes, a movie, and Christmas lights it became clear something special was beginning.

Marisa and John both knew pretty early on that this was forever. John had mentioned a few times he planned to propose and even accidentally revealed the day he had been planning on. With this accidental reveal he decided he would have to change his plan. Months later on the exact day he had originally planned to propose they planned a date night instead. Kentucky Fried Chicken had been a frequent date night restaurant choice in the first few months of their relationship and it was the location of this date night as well. In the drive-through, John flawlessly ordered Marisa’s order down to the drink with no ice and sauce choices. Proposing was clearly the only option. While he was surprised, he did say yes! A few weeks later John proposed with a ring with their families in attendance.
