If you're looking for a chill place to grab a beer while in town, JAFB is our go to. They don't serve food, but often have weekend food trucks and let you bring in food from other restaurants.
*If COVID restrictions are lifted* We highly recommend ordering a famous Coccia House pizza and taking it to JAFB. This pizza has won awards, but is not for the faint of heart, must love herbs and cheese, and is our favorite Wooster treat. They're old school and only take cash, so be prepared for this. Their current (March 2021) restrictions are half baked pizzas for carry out, but they are doing dine in.
If you're looking for a good local bite in walking distance of the hotel, you've got to check out TJ's. This downtown Wooster staple never disappoints. Bonus, they have a fun patio!
Ever wanted to eat in an old barn? Here's your chance. The Barn serves down home cooking and is a truly unique experience. They have an amazing soup and salad bar. You've got to try the Broccoli Cheddar Soup.
If you're travelling with kiddos or maybe you're just the type that loves to play putt putt in every new place you go, Acres Of Fun is the best place in town to burn off some of that pent up energy.
Looking to get outside for a bit? Wooster has a variety of parks and nature areas. Here are a few close by: -Oak Hill Park -Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area -Wooster Memorial Park -Freelander Park -Christmas Run Park -Secrest Arboretum If you have some extra time while you're in the area, we highly recommend venturing to Loudonville (about 30 minutes away) and checking out Mohican State Park or even floating down the Mohican River.
