It 's happening, y'all!

Alex was getting one of those awkward tours of the school and was standing uncomfortably in front of the class when Rachel blurted out, "I think our parents know each other!" They hung out in the same friend group for the next few years, but didn't start dating until Freshman year of college. The first 3ish years of their relationship was long-distance (we're talking coast to coast!) But with Alex's patience and Rachel's communicative nature, they were able to build a wonderful relationship nonetheless. And now, after almost 9 years of partnership, they are ready to make it official!

Rachel had decided, "We're young, we need to travel more!" but little did she know that Alex had big plans for their trip to Iceland... Towards the end of their incredible week exploring Iceland, Rachel's birthday came and went, and her friends and family were losing hope that the proposal would happen! They had just toured a glacier lagoon and were walking along a spot known as Diamond Beach. Alex wasn't happy with the amount of tourists around, so he took her hand and they kept walking. They got up to a hill with a beautiful view of the lagoon, but nope, still not good enough for Alex! Finally, after they had walked nearly to the end of the lagoon, Alex asked Rachel to turn towards the water so that he could "take a picture of her." Rachel gazed at the lagoon for what felt like years (but at this point, she had a feeling she knew what was coming!) Eventually, she heard Alex say "Hey!" She turned around, and there he was on one knee! Perhaps it was the hike to get there, or maybe the huge rush of the moment, but after accepting his proposal Rachel breathlessly said, "I gotta sit down!" and they sat by the lagoon for a while. It was perfect. We are excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in the mountains!
