Question

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

One FIRST Charter School Bus Shuttle will be arriving to pick up guests from the Holiday Inn Express Strasburg at 3pm - it will leave at 3:15pm at the absolute latest. Unfortunately, because of the ceremony time change, it will be a tight timeline for those checking into the hotel. We recommend calling to try to get early check in. Also, we were unable to secure an accessible bus, but if you need special accommodations let us know and we can help brainstorm other options!

I will be driving myself to the venue...is there a parking lot?

Answer

Yes! The parking lot is paved, but on a hill, and has a long (but BEAUTIFUL!) walkway, with stairs, to the venue. Because the path from the parking lot to the venue has many stairs and is quite long, we recommend dropping off your car's guests at the loading and drop off entrance, and then parking in the lot pictured on the map on our "Schedule" page. There are also a limited number of handicap parking spots in the main drop off area.

Is this Amish Country?

Answer

You bet it is! Drumore Mill is surrounded by beautiful Amish Country and local families traveling by horse and buggie. PLEASE BE MINDFUL AND SAFE as you navigate the surrounding area, as the buggies are often going much slower than the posted speed limit.

Accessibility Accomodations

Answer

When considering locations, one of our top priorities was wheelchair and walker accessibility. There are paved walkways, non-curb entryways, and accessible bathrooms in each building at Drumore Mill. We recommend those needing these accessibility features to get dropped off on the property to avoid the stairs from the parking lot. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure an accessible shuttle from the hotel, but please let us know if you need help brainstorming transport options.

Should I make a weekend out of it?

We recommend it! Nearby Lancaster and the surrounding area has tons of attractions - many can be found at https://www.discoverlancaster.com/regions-towns/amish-countryside/

I can't make it...any chance there will be a live stream?

Answer

Unfortunately no, but we do hope to get a video of the ceremony at a minimum to share with guests who cannot attend.

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, our venue can only accommodate 125 guests. Though we wish children could attend, it would balloon our list far past this number. Only the bride and groom's nieces and nephews will be in attendance.
