Forest Park is near and dear to our hearts. We spent many an evening here going on walks and getting drinks at the Boathouse. Within Forest Park is the St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis History Museum, St. Louis Zoo, and a Nature Playscape. All of the aforementioned attractions have free admission to their main exhibits most days. There is so much to explore and definitely worth stopping by... it is even bigger than Central Park in New York :)
Visit the Gateway Arch in the smallest National Park in the U.S.! There is a free museum underneath the Arch and if you're brave enough you can purchase tickets to visit the top for spectacular and terrifying views of the city!
If you have time, City Museum is fun for kids and adults. It is truly one of a kind. "City Museum is an ever-evolving, always-thrilling, artist-built playground with installations you can crawl into, slide down, jump over, climb up, etc."
Good food, drink, and atmosphere :)
There are lots of great breweries in St. Louis. Check this one out :) I have it on good authority that it is one of the best.
One of our favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in St. Louis! It has limited hours so check out their website before you go. After dinner, grab a frozen cocktail at Narwhal's Crafted down the street :)
Clementine’s Naughty & Nice Creamery, also known as Clementine’s Creamery, is an ice cream shop with six locations in the Greater St. Louis Area that serves unique small-batch ice cream flavors, including alcoholic and vegan options.
A visit to Grant’s Farm begins with a tram ride through our Deer Park, where you can see a variety of bovine and other four-legged friends. Then, you’ll be dropped off at the Tier Garten where you can enjoy the petting zoo area – featuring our famous baby goat bottle-feeding – carousel rides, food and vending in the Bauernhof Courtyard, and of course, free beer tasting. Alex used to work here from ages 16 - 21!!
