Where Rob and Matt first met! It's a bit of a hike from Uptown to the Montford area, but the inventive and delicious small plates make the trip worth it!
The Cellar at Duckworth's
Tucked under the Duckworth's sports bar, the Cellar is a great place for straightforward American food in a dark and moody setting. Awesome charcuterie boards.
Supperland
This one has been putting Charlotte's food scene on the map. Come for the ambiance (a beautifully restored church sanctuary) and stay for the pot roast!
Customshop
A cute little place with a thoughtful, scaled down menu. Named Charlotte's best restaurant this year by Axios! The pasta dishes are stand-outs. Matt enjoys taking his clients here.
Stagioni - Four Seasons of Food
Be Italian! Stagioni is a Myers Park staple. Best known for serving scissors to cut your pizza! Rob celebrated his 30th birthday here.
Ever Andalo
From the same owners as Supperland, this Italian place is so hot right now. Located in NoDa, one of our favorite neighborhoods! We had a lovely evening with Matt's parents here.
Yunta
This Peruvian place will not disappoint, if you're lucky enough to snag a reservation. Out of this world ceviche. Try the cocktails with pisco, a Peruvian brandy.
Optimist Hall
Our top lunch recommendation because there are so many options! This food hall is a quick drive from Uptown and has something for everyone. Our favorite stands are Botiwalla (Indian street food), Ava (pizza), Dumpling Lady (...dumplings), and Noble Smoke (BBQ).
Monarch Market
Cute food hall right in the middle of uptown. Just around the block from the Grand Bohemian.
milkbread
Come explore our home neighborhood of Plaza Midwood! And pick-up the best fried chicken sandwich of your life. Matt can't get enough of their citrus cole slaw.
Calle Sol Latin Café & Cevicheria
Also in our neighborhood. The Cuban fried rice will change your life! Top-notch Cubano sandwiches too. Palomas, mojitos, and rum punch, oh my!
Reid's Fine Foods
A grocery store turned cafe with locations around town. The OG is in Myers Park. You can't go wrong with the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and an Arnold Palmer.
Flower Child
For our healthy friends. Lots of vegan and paleo options. Great patio to enjoy the spring weather in the heart of South End.
Inizio Pizza Napoletana Dilworth
If you're in the mood for pizza (we always are), this is THE spot. The pistachio pizza is out of this world. The crust is 10/10.
ACE No. 3 Belmont Village
The world's best burger. Period. Locations in the Belmont neighborhood (NOT the nearby town of Belmont) and in Myers Park. Milkshakes also top-notch.
JINYA Ramen Bar - Ally Charlotte Center
Sometimes you just need to slurp noodles and broth. We like to stop here after a morning at the Mint Museum across the street.
