Question

There is a break between the ceremony and reception. What should I do?

Answer

The bridal party will be taking photos during this time. For those wishing to take the shuttle to the reception, we recommend returning to the hotel to grab the shuttle to the reception. All others, please enjoy the many attractions, restaurants, and bars surrounding the Grosse Pointes.

Will there be transportation available?

Answer

Yes. There will be a shuttle for the reception only which will from the Marriott at the Renaissance center to the Yacht Club and return. There will be a shuttle running in 45 minute intervals for the reception and intervals beginning at 9pm in the evening.

I'm not planning on staying in a hotel, where should I stay and what are my transportation options?

Answer

If from out of town, please look for an Airbnb or Vrbo in the Grosse Pointe area or Saint Clair Shores. We recommend utilizing Lyft or Uber for transportation if choosing not to rent a car.

Question

How far is the Detroit airport from the hotels in downtown Detroit and how far is downtown to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

The airport is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Detroit. The ceremony/reception is approximately 20 minutes east of downtown Detroit.
