Wedding Attire and Gifts.

Black tie formal: For males, a jacket or blazer is required. Do not wear pinstripe or red. For females, do not wear white, cream or red. Gifts: In lieu of physical gifts, we kindly request monetary contributions to our honeymoon fund, as they are easier to transport and will help us create lasting memories. This is not required, we are more than happy for guests to attend. Please only contribute if it is within your means, and no more than 100 per person.

Travel

You will be staying in Herceg Novi, which is accessible through the Dubrovnik airport (DBV). Be sure to look up what your local countries needs are (in terms of travel visas, etc) to be able to travel to Dubrovnik and Montenegro.) Note: ETIAS was delayed so it seems like it is no longer needed. From the Dubrovnik area, Herceg Novi is a taxi away (about 70 euros cash). On the weekends and more heavily traveled peak times, the 50 minutes taxi ride can take as long as 4 hours, so plan accordingly. . Be sure to pack the following items: sunscreen, swimsuits (expect hot weather), and a casual formal outfit for other dinners (think yacht party). We recommend a snorkel and brita.

Local Etiquette and Safety

Herceg Novi is generally a safe and welcoming area. As with any travel destination, it's always wise to stay aware of your surroundings. While the majority of locals are friendly, curious, and helpful, you may occasionally encounter individuals with different perspectives. The best thing you can do is to ignore them and move on. However, this is rare and similar to what you might experience in smaller towns elsewhere. Overall, you can expect a pleasant and enjoyable experience. There are certain safety precautions when it comes to the nightlife, please visit the nightlife section in 'things to do' to view more. In Montenegro, cars have the right of way, so while crossing streets please keep this in mind.

LGBTQ Considerations

For our LGBTQ friends, Montenegro is based in eastern European old orthodox religion and are more conservative than America when it comes to open LGBTQ displays of affection. Please use discretion.
