Question

Should I take off work the following Monday?

Answer

Great question! As this is a Sunday wedding, yes, you should 100p treat yourself and take off work that Monday.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes - there is self-parking and a valet! Parking is complimentary to guests all weekend. Just make sure to validate your parking ticket upon leaving. You can validate your parking ticket 1 in 2 ways. (1) scan your ticket at the validation kiosk just outside the Rose Room Foyer or (2) validate it with the front desk!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal / cocktail attire. It's a summer wedding in Newport, so think summer suits, dresses, or jumpsuits.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

On the travel section of our website, we have a few options to accommodate different needs and price ranges. We have a room block available at our wedding venue (Newport Harbor Island Resort). Rooms may go quickly, so we suggest booking early!

Question

Is there other transportation offered?

Answer

The venue has a complimentary shuttle and water taxi available for transportation to and from Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport every half-hour.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be on the resort's lawn facing the Goat Island Lighthouse. Plan B, the ceremony will be held in the resort's Rose Island Ballroom.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We've chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

For all the days along the way
