BLESSING VERSION Barry and I met at work in 2021. It was a routine morning at work that day, when he approached me and introduced him self. It was his first day on that unit and he needed an orientation of the unit, which I helped with. Fast forward to months later, he asked for my number. We got talking after I turned him down initially. We went on a couple of dates, started a relationship, had a minor break up for few months due to communication. But like the saying goes "what will be, will be". BARRY VERSION The pandemic wasn't entirely a sour time. Like a lot of people, I had to make a lot of adjustment to survive. One of my adjustment was making a huge transition to another career path in the health sector. Blessing was one of the few people assigned to orient me at my new job. The few times I worked with Blessing, my first impression was that she was "too" serious with her job and didn't smile a lot. She was all about work and school. We worked for few months when I started taking a liking to her. I admired when she comes to work, she goes to a quiet place to pray before starting work. I admired how focused she is at achieving set goals amongst other things. I had hoped that my first move would be smooth but I was turned down. All my advances were turned down constantly. I even had to involve a mutual fried of ours (Michael) to help me out. Finally one day she agreed on a date at a restaurant we still visit. We got talking and discovered we had a lot in common. It took a couple of dates for her to say YES for us to start our journey together. Blessing is a special lady. Everyone she interacts with, walks away with a good experience. I can go on and on about this very special lady but all I can say right now is that I wish I met her sooner.

On the 23rd of October 2022, the eve of my birthday, he officially popped the question, and I said yes to my forever. On November 27th 2022, we were traditionally hitched. Barry is a selfless soul, very social unlike me (lol) and I am happy that I get to spend my forever with such an amazing being.
