Shenandoah National Park
Shenandoah National Park is only 35 minutes outside of Winchester. It's a beautiful park with great trails to hike!
National Mall
The National Mall is just 90 minutes from Winchester. The Smithsonian Museums and monuments are open and free to the public!
George Washington's Office
Visit a little museum at the office where George Washington began his military career, commanding the Virginia Regiment during the French and Indian War. Hours: Mon-Sat: 10 am to 4 pm Sun: 12 pm to 4 pm Admission: Adults $6.00; Seniors $5.00; Students $3.00
Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum
Open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 9:30am to 3:30pm. Admission is $9 per person, ages 2 and up. Free admission is offered to children under 2 and for members. The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum sparks curiosity and inspires learning through exploration and creative play throughout our 4 floors of hands-on exhibits! Its primary audience is children 6 months to 10 years old and their families. Come Play!

Winchester Brew Works
This nanobrewery has a spacious dining room area with tons of board games, video games, and other activities. They've designed it to be a family-friendly tasting room, making this a great place to spend time with others. We visited while we were in Winchester and enjoyed it!
