Dayna and Blake met in 2016 at SVU and became great friends. They were on the school’s dance team together as well as maintained their friendship during their missions and emailed for 3 years! Dayna got married in December of 2020 to Devon and is finishing her senior year at SVU and graduate with her business degree and wants to do marketing strategy.

Rebecca Devenberg

Rebecca and Blake have been friends since high school. They met at girls camp in Missouri and have been friends ever since. They would go to church dances together and the pool all the time during the summer. Rebecca got married in 2019 to Tyler and now lives in Utah.

Julia Lee

Julia and Blake have been friends since high school! They went to dances together and have loved trying new food places around KC! They went to different colleges but have continued to stay in contact she is now a Radiologic technologist!

Ellie Erickson

Ellie and Blake were companions on their church mission. Blake got to be with Ellie in the start of her mission and they got to experience a lot of great miracles together. They have been friends ever since. Ellie’s goal is live in the basement of Johnny and Blake’s house so she can eat good food and Blake’s pumpkin bars. Ellie is going to school at BYU Provo to be an accountant. #bestthirdwheel (Ellie asked to have that put in)

Astrid and Blake got to become friends on the mission. Blake was beginning her mission then got to train Astrid and learn how to be missionaries together! They had so much fun and were often told they were the same person just with different last names. After the mission they have continued to be great friends and talk almost daily. She is going to school at UVU and is a great person in Blake’s life!

Cheenia Wannamaker

Cheenia and Blake met through student government camp in high school. Their schools were about 45 minutes away but that didn’t stop them from being friends. Every time Blake goes back to KC they always try to get together. She is now an ER registered nurse.

Kira Dingman Hosino

Kira(on the left) is Johnny’s older sister! She has the cutest little girl Izzy and is always ready to laugh and make jokes.

Caroline Pitcher

Caroline and Blake were roommates back in 2017 at SVU. They got to experience a lot that SVU has to offer together. They joked around a lot together and Caroline kept a note of all the things Blake would say during her sleep. Caroline is super sweet and is always ready for a good time. She recently graduated from BYUI in healthcare administration and now is working as a manager in a behavioral health clinic. She is getting married in January 2022!

Brinley and Blake met at SVU because Brin was Caroline’s friend then they all started hanging out tougher. Post mission they continued to explore Virginia together! Brinley is so kind hearted and is always ready to serve!

Sarah and Blake have been friends since freshman year at SVU in 2016. They were on the dance team together! She is so kind to everyone and is currently the assistant dance coach at SVU. She got married in 2020 to Conner and is continuing her education and is a financial aid specialist.
