We first met in sixth grade at Lexington Christian Academy, but didn’t start talking much until our sophomore year of high school. Blake would always play with another girls hair (probably his way of flirting!), but one day she wasn’t at school… he decided my hair looked soft enough to play with and the rest is history! We constantly had to be separated in classes because of how much we would laugh with each other. We often laugh at how we met and smile thinking about how our love has grown into something so magical.
We were on a cruise for my birthday when the proposal happened! My birthday was the day before the proposal, and I thought it might happen that day but was a little disappointed when it didn’t… The following day, Blake had set up a private photo session to surprise me with. We had rented a cabana for the day when two photographers came up asking for pictures. Blake pretended to be hesitant because he never likes taking pictures, but I begged him to take a few (not knowing that Blake actually planned for these two photographers to come by!). The photographers led us both to a private garden, where I turned around with my back facing Blake to do a pose. When I turned back around, Blake was on one knee with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen! Needless to say, there were a few (maybe more than a few) tears of happiness shed. We are both over the moon excited to celebrate our wedding with you! See you at the Castle!
