The couple's first encounter was in 4th grade at England Elementary School. Blake was new to the school. Blake was always too shy to talk to fellow classmates. However, he didn’t allow his shyness to stop him. While spending a lot of time together at recess, the two young lovebirds grew close to one another. The couple often reminisce on the times where young Blake would steal change from his mom every day, to buy Arin a Minute Maid drink at lunch. Fast forward to later in that year, Blake eventually moved again and transferred to another school. The two lost contact with one another until Arin stumbled across Blake’s profile and became Facebook friends in high school. Blake and Arin often shared conversations and nurtured their blossoming friendship. This interaction continued throughout their college years. Around Easter in 2020, Arin came across Blake’s Facebook post and decided to slide in his DM for casual conversation per their recent encounters. However, this time was different. The harmless conversations eventually turned into a few dates. The few dates turned into the couple falling deeply in love. In November2021, the couple decided to take steps in securing their family’s future and purchased their first home together. To celebrate their wonderful accomplishment, the couple decided to have a house warming with all of their family and friends. However, Blake had something more extravagant in mind. On December 5th, 2021, with the help of Arin’s mom, Tiffany Edmonson and Matron of honor, LaQuasha Ross, Blake was able to pull off the ultimate surprise. During the house warming Arin’s mom rushed to her and told her she needed to urgently discuss something with her outside. The two go outside and Arin’s mom starts rambling about a lot of different things that had no importance. Little did Arin know, this was done to distract her. Arin enters back into the house to find it empty. She then goes outside to the backyard where she is greeted by the couple’s children, Logan, Taivyn, and Bj with roses. While walking down the aisle of family and friends handing out roses to her, Arin was serenaded with the couple’s favorite song “Can’t Let Go" by Calvin Richardson. At that moment, Arin instantly broke down crying because she knew exactly what was going on. At the end of the aisle, the love of her life was about to change both of their lives. Blake was bent down on one knee, with the letters spelling out “Marry Me”. It was the easiest yes Arin had ever said.
