I was walking into the University Center at Austin Peay to meet some friends for lunch when I passed a table of fraternity brothers raising money for Cystic Fibrosis. One boy in particular, Blake, caught my eye. I knew all of the other boys at the table but not him. I made a comment to a friend, "Who is that? Is he new? He's cute." (Blake has now pointed out that I was not as slick as I thought I was and he could totally tell I was staring.) One of Blake's friends called me over to the table and the rest is history.....

Blake and I had just arrived in Mexico for our yearly vacation. During our plane ride, Blake told me that he already had dinner plans for that night because some of the restaurants required reservations so I needed to be ready by 6 o'clock. When the time rolled around for dinner, the biggest monsoon you could ever imagine came down upon Cancun. Blake was staring outside the balcony window like a sad puppy. I asked Blake if we were still going to dinner. He said he wanted to wait to see if the storm would blow over so we didn't have to walk in the rain. Luckily enough, the downpour ended about 10 minutes later. As we were heading to dinner, Blake convinced me that he knew where we were going and we could get there by walking on the beach. I was not convinced and as we approached a gazebo I told Blake, "There is literally no one down here." At that time, I saw "Will you marry me?" written in the sand. Blake got down on one knee and proposed - and of course I said YES!
