Welcome to our Wedding in the mountains

Blake and Daniel met on their very first day at Western Michigan University in the Fall of 2015. They were placed in the same honors Fall Welcome group, (Group #83) entirely by chance. They soon discovered that they both lived in Valley 1; Daniel in Hadley Hall and Blake in Britton Hall right across the lobby. The two became fast friends and as the other friendships they made in group #83 faded away, they found that they were always able to rely on one another. Throughout their time as friends they dated other people and Daniel was even set up on some dates by Blake. (It is worth noting that all of these dates went horribly and she swears it was not on purpose.) Over time, the two became best friends and as their second year of college drew to a close, it was starting to become obvious that they wanted to be more than just friends to one another. After Daniel went on a particularly dangerous study abroad trip to Senegal, Africa in the summer of 2017, he realized that there was really only one person that he wanted to be with, and that was Blake. Upon returning from Africa, Daniel went about convincing Blake that they should date. After a week of difficult conversations, including an intervention at Buffalo Wild Wings and an all-nighter, she finally agreed. The rest is history.
