Travel Plans

Traveling can be a bit overwhelming, so here are a few tips to get you started: Whether you are traveling from Brazil or California, our recommendation is the same. Look for a direct flight from your major Airport to a city that interests you in Europe. This could be SFO → LHR (London) or DEN → AMS (Amsterdam). From there, we recommend you spend a day or two in that city as you acclimate to the new timezone. If you’re not sure where to start - check out Google Explore, it's a wonderful way to see what are a few popular things to do in each city in Europe. Getting around Europe is pretty simple and actually very cheap. We do recommend flying somewhere that has a direct flight/train to Florence to limit your time traveling. Popular travel destinations with direct flights to Florence are: London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon. Once acclimated, we recommend flying or taking a train to Florence. The train system in Europe is incredible, it's always on time, it's cheap and Europe has way more to see than just the cities. If you’re not in a complete rush, we highly recommend taking a train (all you need to do is google train ticket from Any City to Florence). Once in Florence, we recommend you rent a car or take a taxi to your hotel or to the Castello di Bibbione, depending on where you are staying. The area you will be staying is ~30 minutes from the Florence airport / train station. For guests staying at Bibbione, we will enjoy a drink on the property and then meet everyone in San Casciano where everyone will enjoy dinner and then meet for welcome drinks at Blu Bar Bistro.

Transportation

Traveling in Tuscany can be difficult, but we are doing our best to make it simple! To get to Tuscany from Florence we recommend renting a car. It is about a 30-minute drive from the airport/train station in Florence. It is suggested to get an international drivers license. You can do this at your local AAA. Taxi services are very expensive and unreliable in Tuscany. For guests not staying at Bibbione, we will be providing shuttle services to and from the venue on the day of the wedding.
