Getting Married!

The year was 2020. The world was in a pandemic with no vaccines and everything was shut down. But Bill and Marisa each had hope of finding someone to weather the pandemic with. They each went on Hinge and tried their best to write enticing profiles and post attractive photos. They must have done something right, because they each picked each other. From their very first FaceTime date, they hit it off. Bill was smitten with Marisa's beauty and wit and Marisa was impressed that Bill listened to her advice and found him charming and funny. A few negative COVID tests later, they met up in person and fell for each other instantly. There was just one tiny problem keeping these two lovebirds from going out and getting to know each other. Marisa started the pandemic with a high risk for complications, which limited the places they could go. Thankfully, Bill lived in a neighborhood filled with restaurants by his favorite chef, Chef Jose Andres. And luckily for both of them, Chef Jose Andres took the pandemic quite seriously, and he had all of his restaurants implementing strict and up-to-date safety protocols. This meant Bill could woo Marisa and take her out to places where she felt safe. Now, she could focus on his sweet smile, his funny jokes, or one of his random (but always entertaining) facts, and not worry about how many masks she would have to wear. From their first restaurant date at Jaleo, to the night Bill proposed at The Bazaar (and many other Chef Jose Andres' restaurants in between--check out the Gallery) there is no doubt that without Chef Jose Andres, Bill & Marisa's dating life would've looked quite different. Love? In a time of COVID? Who knew? Bill and Marisa have weathered many storms, and they always came back to each other's ports.
