A beautiful, educational and fun way to get to know the city--and definitely a staple activity to do at least once for locals and visitors!
Bill and Eleanor have spent many nights seeing the reoccurring weekend show "The Infinite Wrench," where the cast tries to put on 30 plays in 60 minutes. If you're interested in fast-paced, experimental theatre, this may be for you. They will sometimes have long form plays, as well.
A totally free (though reservations are required) activity, the Garfield Park Conservatory is a favorite of Eleanor and Bill's to visit.
Take some time to enjoy one of the Great Lakes and hang at one of the (totally free!) beaches (our favorites are Hollywood beach and Montrose Beach), or take a walk or bike ride down the Chicago Lakefront trail.
The night before Eleanor moved to California, Eleanor and Bill had one final drink to say goodbye to each other here. Over beers, they decided to become pen pals. The rest is history.
