About a year and a half after moving to Hawaii, we thought it would be a great idea to go back to our old stomping grounds in Ocean Beach to visit friends and family and to celebrate Justin's 40th Birthday. What I didn't know was that it was not the only thing Justin was planning on celebrating. After convincing me that a trip to the Dollar Store for party supplies could wait as we only had a short window of time before meeting up with some friends for dinner, Justin suggested we take a walk around OB instead. Keep in mind, it was Monday night football, so I thought it was ruse to go watch the game . . . During our walk we revisited old memories and talked about the changes around OB as well as the changes in our lives since we’ve met. Eventually, we found ourselves alone atop a bluff on the cliffs overlooking the ocean and that's when he gave a little speech and got down on one knee and proposed . . . after the shock of the moment slowly wore off, I said 'Yes! but did you ask my dad?' . . . and of course, he did :) We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!

We met at work in 2014 when Lisa landed a position in the Accounting Department at Aldridge Pite, LLP. We didn’t think much of one another at first as our conversations mainly consisted of ‘hi's' and 'how was your weekend?’ It wasn’t until 2017 when we got to know each other more during happy hours and then happy hours turned to lunches and then the rest is history.
