Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs and their pre-addressed envelopes are included in the invitation. Please fill them out and mail them back to the bride and groom by September 30, 2023.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You're invitation and RSVP card will indicate how many seats are reserved in your honor. Unfortunately, due to venue capacity and catering prices, extra guests are not permitted. Thank you for respecting this policy.

Question

What do I do if I miss the RSVP date?

Answer

If you miss the RSVP date, please still fill out the RSVP card and send it in the mail. As a courtesy, please call or text the bride/groom to inform them of your decision. If a RSVP card is not received by the RSVP date, we will be calling guests the following week to learn of your decision. It is important for us to know how many people are attending, as the caterer has requested an accurate head count several weeks before the wedding.

Please dress accordingly.

Question

Can I use my phone at the ceremony?

Answer

NO, PLEASE TURN OFF ALL DEVICES FOR THE CEREMONY. The bride and groom elected to have an "unplugged" ceremony. Should you want photos to remember this special day by, please inform the bride and groom so they can give you digital copies once the photos have been received. Thank you for respecting this policy.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes, the address is 1461 Big Creek Rd, Clearville PA 15535. For more information about the venue, please visit their website- https://www.creekside-resort.com/home.html

Question

What is the parking situation like?

Answer

Parking is available onsite, follow the main entrance past the cabins into a large gravel parking lot.

Question

Are there accessibility options?

Answer

The gravel parking lot is fairly close to the ceremony site, the cocktail hour site, and reception pavilion. If needed, someone can be dropped off closer to each site for less walking with no issues. There are gravel, grass, dirt, paved, and concrete surfaces to navigate throughout the entire venue. The pavilion has wide doors and no stairs or steps. The bathrooms in the pavilion each have a handicap stall.

Question

What will cocktail hour be like?

Answer

Cocktail hour will be outside next to the reception pavilion (weather permitting). There will be cornhole, horseshoes, lawn darts, and giant jenga to play with! The venue also has a game bin next to the bonfire for guests to use. The game bin is filled with footballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, kickballs, bats, baseballs, softballs, wiffle balls, rackets, and frisbees. There is a large, flat field with a volleyball net between the reception pavilion and parking lot where all these games can be enjoyed. Cocktail hour is a great time to get to know the other guests or find your seats. Signature "his and hers" cocktails will be available during this time.

Question

Will there be anything fun to do at the reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be a bonfire, message in a bottle, music, dancing, and good company. The bride and groom have several quick games up their sleeves as well!

Question

Can I use my phone at the reception?

Answer

Please refrain from using your phone until after the coordinated dances and dinner is served.

Question

What are the coordinated dances?

Answer

There will be 4 coordinated dances, the first dance, the mother-son dance, the father-daughter dance, and the mother-daughter dance. We will also have a money dance and an anniversary dance later in the night.

Question

What are the money and anniversary dances?

Answer

The money dance is an age old tradition performed various ways in many cultures. Typically, money is pinned to the bride or creatively folded and pinned on a sash for her to wear. Then, as a thank you, the bride dances with all those who donated money. At our wedding, both the bride and groom will be available to dance with and all of the money donated will go straight to the honeymoon fund! The anniversary dance is a fun way to get all the married couples out on the dance floor! Before the song starts, we'll ask all the married folks to grab a spot on the dance floor. When the music starts, we all start dancing, but the DJ will interject with time intervals like 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, and so on. Once a timeframe that exceeds your years of marriage has been called, you leave the dance floor. The last couple standing imparts their years of knowledge on the newlyweds!

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Dinner will be a served buffet consisting of pulled pork, brisket, slider rolls, side salad, cream corn casserole, green beans, corn bread, scalloped potatoes, and a variety of sauces.

Question

What beverages will be available?

Answer

Water, iced tea and lemonade will be available all night. During cocktail hour "his and hers" signature cocktails will be available. During the reception, a few selections of beer and wine will be available in addition to the signature cocktails. After dinner, hot tea, coffee, and hot chocolate will become available for the duration of the evening.

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

Yes! You may bring your own alcohol or other preferred beverages. We just ask you leave them in your car until the ceremony is over. If you would like to bring a cooler, we will have a designated drop zone inside the pavilion and labels available for use. We will not provide ice for your cooler. Small bottles of alcohol can be kept at your table, however, please be respectful of your neighbors space.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

There is a line on the RSVP cards for listing dietary restrictions, please fill this out when mailing back the RSVPs. We will do our best to accommodate your needs or inform you what will be safe for you to eat. Please know that we cannot honor every request.

Question

Are there any places to stay nearby?

Answer

Hotels, Motels, and Bed & Breakfasts that are nearby the venue can be found on the travel menu tab of the website. Unfortunately, since Creekside (the venue) is in the countryside, most places to stay are at least 25-35 minutes away. You may wish to look at websites like Airbnb, Vrbo, or those that are similar. We have not reserved a block at any of the hotels.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

The bride and groom are registered at Zola, Target, and Amazon. You can easily find their registry by clicking on the registry menu tab. Here, Zola combines all three registries so you don’t have to search. However, if you prefer to search, you can type either Melanie’s or Justin’s full name into Target’s or Amazon’s registry search engine to find only things registered at that store. Gifts are not required but greatly appreciated!
