Bianca's paternal grandfather, Julio Moreno, was from a small village called Valverde de los Arroyos, in the province of Guadalajara. Dani's family is from Spain. We believe this was a great occasion to have a memorable get-together in a country that has a deep significance for both of us. Plus, where else could we party till dawn?
Uber, Cabify and other rideshare apps are great in Madrid, but ARE NOT AVAILABLE in Toledo. Taxis, however, are plentiful. 'Pidetaxi' is also a cab hailing app that is available for download in the Apple & Google app stores. Buses will be provided to/from all events at Cigarral de las Mercedes and from Eurostars Palacio Buenavista.
It depends. The Cigarral and most hotels in Toledo have ample parking for your vehicle. If you are traveling with kids and aren't going to spend time in Madrid, it may be worth renting a car directly at the airport (which will be an approximately 1 hour drive). However, even if you aren't staying in Madrid, a cab to the train station from the airport is a 30 euro flat fee, and the train tickets to toledo are just 10 euro (30 minute journey). If you are spending time in Madrid, renting a car isn't worth it. Taxis, Ubers, Cabifys and public transport is easy, reasonable and plentiful.
We can't stress this enough: PLEASE DO! We'd love to point you in the right direction with everything from travel arrangements to any recommendations.
We will have limited complimentary lodging for the nights of June 21st, 22nd and the 23rd (wedding night) for most guests at Cigarral de Las Mercedes. We will also have discounted options at another hotel as well.
If you are taking 5 days off from work, we would recommend leaving on June 17th to arrive on June 18th. You would then have several days to spend in Madrid, Barcelona or Sevilla, all connected by high speed train (AVE). You would also have the weekend following the wedding to visit somewhere else. Madrid also has plenty of fantastic day-trips (El Escorial, Segovia, and, of course, Toledo). Reach out to us for help.
For many, there's a certain anxiety to wanting to buy plane tickets as soon as possible. Earlier isn't always better. Round trip tickets to Europe are cheaper than ever right now, so make sure you're getting a good deal. Reach out to us if you have any doubts.
If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Absolutely! There will be babysitting / child entertaining staff of the premises. Please let us know if you are bringing your kids in the weeks prior, their ages, and we will make sure they'll be taken care of.
Absolutely. You will be able to mark this on your RSVP.
As of June 8th (when this update was made), masks are now only required on public transportation (in taxis as well) and inside pharmacies and inside hospitals. Masks will not be required or expected at the wedding.
