If you're able to rent a car and looking for something to do, we always recommend driving around the lake and making some stops along the way. Start your drive around the West Shore with one of the most famous locations in Tahoe, Emerald Bay. Then continue along towards Tahoma/Tahoe City where there are quaint restaurants and shops. The next stop would be Incline Village where you could have the best burrito around the lake at T's Mesquite Rotisserie, which you can take to go and enjoy in the beautiful Sand Harbor State Park.
There are plenty of options for fun to be had in Tahoe especially over the weekends. One of our favorite activities if we're going out and about would be the Dueling Piano's at Harvey's Casino! The show starts at 8:30pm and features fun live music, great people watching, and more. If you're lucky you might even catch Bianca requesting Gin and Juice!
This is our favorite hike/walk close to the South Lake Basin. Registering only 1.2 miles round trip it's a great way to get outside and explore the beauty of Tahoe without climbing a whole mountain. Located only a few miles from town, Fallen Leaf lake provides amazing views of Mount Tallac and is a great way to get outdoors in a short amount of time.
