We met our first year of teaching at McCluer North High School. We taught in different departments, so we really only saw each other at staff meeting and new teacher meetings. Then, during second semester, Stewart was switched to lunch duty, and we started talking every day. Our first date was at Castlewood State Park on 3/14/15 (Pi Day for all of the other math nerds out there).

During the summer of 2019, we traveled to Italy and Switzerland. While in Switzerland, we took a cogwheel train up to the top of Mount Pilatus. On a narrow walkway along the side of the mountain, Stewart proposed. Our friends, Blake and Caitlin, who were traveling with us, had no idea this was going to happen. They tell the best story of our proposal!
