Well... for a long time there were 2 versions of our "how we met" story. There was the real story about how we met at AGR on a Thursday night and then there was the story I told my dad for a couple years about how we met at Dairy Queen and were set up by mutual friends - HA. The real story did start at Dairy Queen, but Gil wasn't there for that part. I was newly single, wanted nothing to do with a relationship (let alone a serious one), and was just looking to have a fun night with my new friends. I had been in college all of one month and was ready to start enjoying it. My friend took me to AGR late on a Thursday and within 10 minutes of being there a cute (slightly intoxicated) boy with a "ginger beard" wondered up to us. Long story made short, I spent the rest of the night getting to know him. At one point he asked me for my number and if he could text me in the morning. I said "no, but you can call me between my classes." Every ounce of logic said I should tell him no and slow roll this as much as possible, but even from day one I had this lingering voice saying "but what if he is THE one?" He walked us back to my friend's dorm room at nearly 5 in the morning just to make sure we were safe. Gil called right on the dot the next day. Frankly, I was so surprised when I answered the phone and realized he remembered me and most of our conversation from the night before. Since that day, we've been inseparable. It didn't take long to realize my gut instinct was right and Gil was, indeed, "the one." Six years, two college graduations, law school, a year of long distance, getting a dog, new jobs, a couple moves, buying a house and here were are - getting married on the 7 year anniversary of the day we met! We're so excited to start this next chapter in our story together and are so thankful for everyone celebrating with us!
