This is a funny question for us because we have never actually agreed on how or when we met, although the one common ground was where. So we thought it was only fair to include both sides of our story... If you were to ask Colby, he would start in 2016 in the small town of Western North Carolina, Cashiers. Colby was an intern at a local Top 100 golf course (subtle brag) at the time and Bethany had just finished her first full year out of college. For those who have never been to Cashiers, it is a very small town with three bars (at the time) and so everyone typically found themselves at the same bar. As Colby's story goes, it was a Friday night so naturally, they both found themselves out for pizza and drinks with friends from work at a local favorite spot, Mica's. The rest of the night was filled with cornhole, a couple drinks and Colby and Bethany chatting about who knows what. The rest from there as they say, was history. Now we must admit that Bethany does not deny that they met back at Mica's but her version of the beginning of their story picks up a year later in 2017. She had just moved back to Cashiers from Charleston, SC and (surprise!) she was out for drinks with her gal pal, Caitlyn, at The Ugly Dog. Colby, now living in Cashiers full time working at the same golf course he was two years back, happened to have the same plan for his evening. A few glances across the bar and a little liquid courage later and well, the rest as they say was history.
