Johanna and Bethany met in the kindergarten Sunday School class at First Baptist Rogers and have been friends ever since. Although they have lived far away from each other since college graduation, they have continued to process life's big moments together such as cross-country moves, stretching world views, faith, and relationships. Since Johanna started dating her husband, Rusty in college, Bethany has also considered him like a brother. While training for races like the Boston marathon or qualifying for the Olympic trials, Johanna is also running her own business and being an awesome mom to Lucy Rae. It is a joy for Bethany to share her wedding day with Johanna, as it is another major mile-stone with this life-long friend.
Richard Boneski
Best Man
Richard and Adam have known each other for many years. Richard is one of the most creative fellows you will ever meet. He enjoys drawing, clay sculpting, and videography (there are probably a few dozen more things to list here, but that will do for the sake of length). For fun, Richard, Adam and also Dan Drechsel would frequently connect via the online servers of Battlefield 4, where Dan and Adam would hear the battlecries of Richard as he drove a tank into battle at 2:00am in the morning. Those were the good ‘ol days. Adam has always enjoyed Richard’s humor as well as his kindness. Richard leads and walks boldly with the Lord. Richard and his wife Aria live in Washington State.
Rebekah Evans

Rebekah was just the kid sister of one of Bethany's high school friends until 2015, when she moved in with Bethany in Beijing, China. The two bonded through the ups and downs of expat life and became close friends. After returning to Arkansas, they shared great joy from loving on international students together. Currently, Rebekah lives with her husband Jermaine in Frankfurt, Germany, where she mobilizes German churches to care for refugees and immigrants. Though it has been years since they lived in the same country, Rebekah and Bethany always find ways to see each other each year, whether it be in Germany, the US, or another country. Rebekah has been a huge influence on Bethany's life and faith and continues to be a very dear friend.
Dan Drechsel
Best Man
Dan is a man from Idaho with bright orange hair. Dan and Adam met at a youth camp many years ago. It was there that Adam happened to be a team-captain of Dan’s group. Along with many events and activities during the week at this camp, a talent-show was among one of those events. A young Dan Drechsel very cooly and calmly got on stage and recited the entirety of the Gettysburg address. It was at that moment Adam knew that they would be friends. Over the years, Dan, Adam, and Richard Boneski would connect most frequently via the online servers of Battlefield 4. Adam also enjoyed visiting his potato-loving friend in the great state of Idaho. Dan has considerably sharpened Adam in his walk with the Lord, while displaying admirable qualities of discernment and wisdom. Dan is a brother who has stood beside Adam through many points in life. Dan hails from the land of Idaho.
Katie Cannon

Bethany met Katie Cannon and her husband Sean in a church community group in Arkansas. From the beginning Bethany admired Katie's conviction and intentionality. A veteran teacher, Katie often asked for prayer for her students who were the hardest to love, but needed someone in their corner. Bethany shared memories with Katie and Sean as they welcomed international students into their community. Bethany has loved sharing small moments with Katie - evening walks, bonfire chats, musing about the wonder of God, beers at Fossil Cove, and lingering in conversation after parties. Over the last 8 years, the little moments have added up to a beautiful relationship that has continued even when Bethany moved far away. Bethany is thrilled that Katie will stand by her as she gets married.
Tommy Downie

Tommy Downie is Adam’s cousin. Despite only seeing each other from time to time, Adam has always considered Tommy a close friend and someone he enjoys spending time with. Tommy and Adam have enjoyed surfing together as well as other outdoor activities, but Adam has really valued talking through life with Tommy especially in recent years. Tommy Downie is both a wise and humble man, and Adam feels greatly honored to have Tommy stand beside him on his wedding day. Tommy is a man from California.
Maéva Oltra

Maéva and Bethany have been together in person for only about 7 weeks of their three and a half year friendship. They met through work in 2020 while Bethany was living in England and Maéva was living in Belgium. Through Zoom, they collaborated on projects and became good friends. Though most of their relationship has grown through Facetime calls and voice texts, they have reunited through crazy adventures in Naples, Paris, and London. Maéva is a gifted creative, a music connoisseur, and a bubble tea fanatic. Maéva is a friend who will fight for you, give you honesty, cry with you, pray for you, and cook you amazing French food. Bethany has shared many big life moments with Maéva and is excited to have her on American soil for the wedding.
AJ Hollaway

AJ Hollaway is a friend that Adam met through Waypoint Church and Soundview Camp in Washington State. Adam has always been amazed at AJ’s character and integrity, and looks up to AJ as a role model in many ways. Over the years AJ and Adam have eaten lots of Chick-fil-A, explored the great state of Missouri, and have enthusiastically enjoyed mini-golf. AJ and his wife Stephanie currently live in Missouri (soon to be Arizona), have one son, and another child on the way.
April Southerland

If you're looking for someone to duet "Ring of Fire" with, look no further than April Southerland. This karaoke queen was Bethany's confidante and adventure buddy during her Fayetteville years. April and Bethany lived down the road from each other and spent most of their evenings dreaming about travel, cooking chicken pot pies for international students, or going dancing. Their most bonding experience was supporting a dear international friend through the delivery and post-birth care of her two baby boys. April now lives in Nashville, TN and works as a nurse. Bethany has always admired April's spontaneity, her joie de vivre, and her tender-heartedness. April is a lady who knows how to celebrate life, and Bethany's wedding day would not be complete without her.
Justin Lindsay

Justin Lindsay is one of Adam’s oldest friends. Their sisters were friends beforehand and thought Justin and Adam had much in common, so they facilitated the introduction. Justin and Adam have really bonded over their enjoyment of video games. They also have enjoyed tossing around a baseball among other outdoor activities. Ask Adam and he will tell you that Justin Lindsay makes the world’s greatest ham and cheese sandwiches. Justin is a loyal friend and someone that can always be depended on. Justin lives in Washington State with his wife Brittney and their two daughters.
Jennifer Cleek

The first week of their freshman year in college, Jennifer and Bethany got to know each other while taking refuge from an escaped convict in a Walmart in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Though they haven't experienced anything quite as intense since, they've been through a lot together over the last 13 years. An avid traveler, Jennifer has faithfully visited Bethany each of the two years she has lived in DC and even joined her on a trip to the UK recently. Jennifer has continued to be one of Bethany's most thoughtful and encouraging friends, as well as a really fun person to spend time with. Jennifer and her husband live in Bentonville, Arkansas, so Bethany can always count on a warm welcome home whenever she comes to visit. Bethany is thrilled that Jennifer will stand by her as a bridesmaid.
Cole Maurmann

Cole Maurmann is the man Adam plays cribbage with. When Cole is not crushing Adam in those games of cribbage, they have enjoyed playing disc golf, watching Christopher Nolan films together, and talking about their appreciation of Geoffrey Rush. Cole is a man of good and steadfast character and an incredible listener. He is the friend who tells Adam to call at any hour, whenever he needs a friend. Cole and his wife Madeline live in Washington State.
Emily Anderson

Emily Anderson is the ultimate adventurer. During their college days, Emily was famous for her intrepid antics - like rappelling off the cafeteria roof at midnight, or completing a 15 mile hike with a broken leg in the backwoods of Arkansas. Over the years, Bethany has really enjoyed her friendship with Emily for the deep conversations about God and life and the curiosity with which she approaches everything. Emily recently moved to Washington to enjoy the outdoors and start a new adventure. Bethany is grateful for the long-lasting friendship she has had with Emily since college and can't wait to share her wedding day with her!

Isaiah Sovereign and Adam met in Idaho through their mutual friend Dan Drechsel. Isaiah and Adam have enjoyed watching and playing various sports, Zip’s drive-in, and video games with Papa Chad. Though it is a newer friendship, Adam has always enjoyed spending time with Isaiah. Isaiah is a good listener and remarkably kind. He encourages others in a very thoughtful manner and points others to Jesus. Adam is honored to have Isaiah as a brother and a groomsmen at his wedding.
Ruby Peevy

Ruby Jane Peevy is Bethany's niece, the daughter of Will (Bethany's brother) and Elizabeth Peevy. She was born just three years ago in the tiny mountain town of Toyonaka, Japan. She is an esteemed play-dough connoisseur and avid rock collector. Her two greatest loves are ice cream and sea creatures of all genus and species. She is loved very much and Adam and Bethany can't wait to see her creative take on dropping flower petals.

Truly Kim is Adam’s niece; the daughter of Sarah (Adam’s sister) and Daniel Kim. Truly is one of the cutest little beans you will ever meet. She loves her family, her friends, bunnies, and blueberries. Adam has enjoyed getting to see Truly grow up, even though they live far apart. Truly is loved more than words can describe. Adam and Bethany are very happy Truly can be one of the flower-girls during their special day.
Drew Pappas

Drew Pappas is Adam’s former youth pastor. Since as long as Adam can remember, he wanted to have Drew officiate his wedding. It looks as though that day is coming! Drew and Adam have bonded over their appreciation of various sports and Napoleon Dynamite. If you ever need to throw a football over them mountains, Drew is your man! Drew has been a mentor and strong role model in Adam’s life and a profound figure in his walk with the Lord. Adam and Bethany are honored to have Drew officiate their wedding on October 29th.
