It was our six year dating anniversary. We woke up and Colby made a big, delicious breakfast for us to share. We were getting dressed and ready for a busy day with a date planned later in the evening, and the ring was burning a hole in Colby’s pocket. I turned around in our bedroom and Colby was on one knee and proposed right then and there, with our dog next to us smiling big, and I said YES!
