Obviously match the bride! Bright orange. Probably with sparkles.
We will pre-pay parking at Marymoor Park for the ceremony and are in the process of getting that completed. Additional details TBD. For the reception, our house is just five minutes from the park. There is lots of street parking on our street (NE 29th St) and off 164th. Please be respectful of our neighbors driveways and leave them unblocked or I will send Pepper to paint, THE GOV'T IS A MAFIA on your rear car window.
Ryan and I are blessed with many hobbies and many material goods. If you don't see a gift that suits your style, we welcome any contributions towards our honeymoon or pitching in small amounts to chip away at the higher priced items (Beth really wants that white/rose gold air fryer...and Ryan always wants more gold, silver or ammo). Or better yet find a way to lend a hand during the reception - a priceless gift indeed, as Beth herself is the wedding planner.
As you drive into Marymoor Park you will see a Windmill peaking through the trees on your right. The park's office building's and Clise Mansion are also to the right of the long drive in. Park (parking details TBD). Walk to the the Windmill. Behind the windmill is a bench, a large tree and a dirt path. There will be either a person, balloons, or some type of sign directing you down said path which veers left and opens into a small beautiful grassy meadow. This is where we will say our vows. There will be no formal seating provided. I'd recommend bringing a camping chair (needed for Beth's house at the reception) or better yet a picnic blanket. You are also welcome to stand. We chose the meadow because this is where Ryan proposed. We chose this meadow because it tickles Beth's fancy and Anne Shirley would approve. We chose this meadow because Beth's wedding dress has woodland/meadow vibes and the train will look amazing in the grass. We chose this meadow because Beth and Ryan desire to say their vows surrounded by the greenery of nature's beauty. Both of us are the happiest outside surrounded by woods and trees and what better setting to start our new life together than having all our friends go on a meandering little adventure with us through a park. *Also, the photos will be amazing.
Please bring your own camping chair or picnic blanket for the meadow ceremony and backyard reception. If this is not possible due to traveling etc. let the Bride know, there will be a limited amount provided.
We are not doing formal colors as we are not doing formal decorations. HOWEVER, my engagement ring is an orange sapphire set in rose gold, my wedding band is white gold. Ryan's wedding band is also a matching two tone rose/white gold. All this to say, shades of orange, creams, champagnes, rose etc are the unofficial colors. And of course since this is Beth* we are talking about, hints of green accents. *Beth's favorite colors are lime green and neon orange, ever since 2001.
