Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in DuQuoin, Illinois…Cory’s Pastor and one of his best friends. Joe’s friendship and guidance has sustained Cory in the best and worst of times. He is truly a man after God’s own heart and has blessed both Cory and Beth is more ways than he knows.

The St. Louis girl who met her country boy when she least expected it. Smart, sassy, sweet and the greatest mother of 2 terrific young men. Strong and independent, yet vulnerable in the most amazing ways.

The country boy who fell in love with his city girl just when he needed her most. A smart ass, old ball coach, who wears his heart on his sleeve. Father of the three best young men despite his shortcomings.

Beth’s longtime friend and confidant. They met when their oldest sons’ were going though confirmation at Faith Lutheran Church and became instant friends. Bonnie and Beth share a unique friendship based upon their common faith and love for family. Bonnie’s been there with Beth through it all and is a constant source of sound advice.

Cory’s friend and confidant for almost 40 years. Old teammate who has a kindred spirit and has been there in the best and worst of times since they were kids.

Beth and Carol became friends while their sons played on the same high school basketball team. Carol’s enthusiasm, honesty and loyalty make her the kind of friend we all should have. Carol and Dave are examples of what a Christian marriage should be and have been not only good friends, but also a fine example to Beth and Cory.
