Sam and Jeff first crossed paths in middle school when Jeff was the new kid in town halfway through the school year. Their friendship blossomed effortlessly while getting to know each other, fueled by shared interests, and Jeff copying off Sam in Spanish class. Their friendship had finally bloomed into a relationship just before the start of high school. They became inseparable, navigating the trials and tribulations of adolescence together. Their days quickly got filled as they were both avid sports players, Sam being the cheerleader & Jeff being the football player, together they were the ‘quintessential’ high school power couple like in the movies. The football player and the cheerleader cliché. They supported each other and attended many games & competitions for one another. But as graduation loomed on the horizon, they made a difficult decision—to take a small break and explore the world beyond the confines of their hometown. Coming back together and going to college in different towns did have some struggles. Despite the distance, their love endured, fueled by late-night phone calls, spontaneous visits, and traveling to watch Jeff play college football. They navigated the challenges of long-distance with unwavering determination, knowing that their love was worth every mile apart. Finally after college graduation and other unexpected circumstances they were able to buy their first home together in 2021. Purchasing a ‘diamond in the rough’ had it’s own adventures as they dove headfirst into the world of renovation, transforming it into a haven of warmth and love.

Fall 2023 Sam had scheduled a photoshoot for their small family since Milo, the dog Sam has had since the 5th grade and Jeff’s ‘adopted’ dog, is getting older. Jeff thought this was a great opportunity and sneakily found out who the photographer was, and told her his plan. Unexpectedly, they adopted a little puppy named Brutus the day before the photo shoot and had to have him join in. During the midst of all the surprises, Jeff had another and dropped to one knee for the photographer to capture. He had one more surprise up his sleeve, when he shocked Sam with friends and family back home after the proposal, but most importantly, her parents surprised everyone by coming back all the way from South Dakota. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
