Lindsay and Bennett first met through mutual friends senior year of high school (Shoutout to Margeaux!) However the two didn't start spending alone time together until the summer leading up to their freshman year at Clemson, not before Bennett stole a kiss from her at the local Camden BP. Their first romantic date was to the campus Canteen, where they sat in that second booth in the back and talked for hours. After that lunch, Lindsay knew without a doubt, she would marry Bennett. They started dating two months later at the classy Silver Dollar Bar in Athens, GA during the Clemson vs. Georgia Football Game. Seven years later, he finally got down on one knee and the rest is history.

Thanksgiving 2020, we were all headed down to our little piece of heaven- The Lewis Family Beach House in Hilton Head, SC, to what Lindsay thought was going to be a typical Lewis Thanksgiving, yet ended up being so much more! The Lewises plus Bennett have had so many memorable and special moments spent there, it only made sense to add another. Bennett had been planning the proposal for a few months now, not without Lindsay ruining several attempts with pre-planned events of her own. When the day finally came, Bennett was as calm as could be, despite the downpour that morning. Bennett asked Lindsay to go on a walk on the beach right at sunset. He distracted her when his family dog, Finn, came running out. After loving on Finn, Lindsay turned around to Bennett down on one knee. Somewhere throughout her tears of joy, she let out a YES! We can't wait to say "I Do" on 5-21-22!
