It all started when Bennett asked Amy what her second favorite movie was (yes you read that right) and she said The Big Lebowski. He was hooked after that! They talked the whole rest of the night. Amy remembers how cute Bennett was and what a genuine kind smile he had. She joked that she would make him biscuits and gravy any time he wanted, and he told her she was the only woman he knew who actually liked stupid comedies. They had not seen each other since High School and it was now more than 10 years later. Needless to say each had been through their own life experiences, further education, jobs and relationships since then. Their "first date" was Amy coming over to his house and cooking him porkchops while he helped. Ever since that day they have been cooking and laughing together. Amy & Ben make it a point to cook breakfast together at least one weekend day every week, and Bennett knows to always have coffee ready for Amy when she wakes up later than he does. Since that time, Amy has moved in with Bennett and they have a beautiful, amazing blessing named Emerson Jewel. The Diehl family has accepted her with open arms and Ron even calls her "Intern Diehl". After the wedding she will be hired on full time! Amy's family admits Bennett is their favorite of the men she has chosen. Bennett has been there for Amy through some pretty tough times and always stood by her side. Amy says that Bennett is the type of man who is "made to be a husband". They enjoy going to/watching Royals games, rooting for KU basketball and the CHIEEEFS, spending time with their daughter, wrangling in their pets, attending family functions and hanging out with friends.
