Some of Ben and Elizabeth’s favorite dates have been to aquariums! The Shedd is one of the best aquariums in the world and they cannot recommend it enough. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re trying to stay local though.
The New Lenox, IL hotspot for breakfast. Conveniently located right next to Elizabeth’s high school alma mater, it’s got some of the best breakfast in town!
The Art Institute is one of the Crown Jewels of Chicago. It houses many beautiful famous works of art, and oftentimes has free entry hours. Once again, it’s a bit out of the way of the suburbs, but a great trip if you’re looking to hit up the city.
The New Lenox Commons is the hub of New Lenox events. Aside from being a beautiful common area containing the library, park district, and other government buildings, around Christmas time they usually have some of the best light displays - including the largest light up Santa in the United States!
Ben & Elizabeth have loved going on dates to these large arcades to play games. This is the one they usually attend when they’re back in New Lenox.
Ben & Elizabeth love doing escape rooms together and with friends/family. This is the company they usually go with when they’re back in the area.
If you’re looking for good sushi and hibachi, look no further than zuki. A treat my family frequents for birthdays and other special occasions!

Orland Square Mall is the biggest mall close to me! It has a large selection of stores and an overall good walking atmosphere. There are also lots of stores nearby outside of the mall like Ulta and Barnes & Noble.
A local bowling alley close to Elizabeth’s home. It’s where her younger sister Madeline would often practice for the high school bowling team at Lincoln-Way Central.
