Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the Welcome Dinner, the dress code is festive (meaning cocktail attire with or without a festive flair). Think: a fun dress or jumpsuit, slacks and dress shirt, suit, or even a costume! No jeans or beach flip flops. For the Wedding Ceremony and Reception, the dress code is black tie optional. Guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (think: an evening gown or tuxedo) but can also choose to wear a formal suit, jumpsuit, or cocktail dress instead (source: theknot.com). Wedding Ceremony and Reception note: stilettos can only be worn at the venue with heel covers to protect the historic original flooring. Both events will also take place outdoors, and you may need to walk on grass.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. Please let us know on your RSVP card and we will work with our caterer to accommodate your needs and provide food you can safely enjoy.

Question

Where is the ceremony being held?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are being held at the same location: Sydonie Mansion.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony to ensure you are able to be seated before the ceremony begins. If you are driving, plan to give yourself extra time in case of traffic, and check road closures due to the Mount Dora craft fair.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. Guy Lynch is coordinating a shuttle departing from and returning to the Alfond Inn.

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol or order shots at the reception?

Answer

No. The venue has a strict policy for alcohol. No shots allowed (this includes single/double pour over ice). No bringing your own alcohol. Don't worry, we will provide plenty!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Maybe. If your invitation includes "and guest," you may bring a guest. Otherwise, only guests formally included on the invitation may attend.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love all the children of our friends and family, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate children not specifically listed on the invitation.
