We first met in 2017 thanks to my Best girls, Janell, Natalie and Emily. Mrs. Janell had been bugging me to meet her neighbor who she said I had so much in common with and we were so alike. I didn’t think too much about it because Janell was always trying to play matchmaker for me. She’s a sucker for romance. (I appreciate the effort Janell!!!) We finally got to meet one day when Ben was home and I happened to be in McKinney. We only talked a few minutes and he wasn’t interested (he had a gf) 😂. For 3 more years I kept hearing “you have to meet him again I promise you, y’all will hit it off” over and over. In October of 2020 we did meet again and well Janell was right, we hit it off. It’s crazy but it really is all in God’s timing! This second time we met we immediately connected on interests, humor and football. Natalie and Emily joke that they watched a love story unfold that night. All of a sudden it was just us in the world and I wanted to know everything about him and he was pretty infatuated with me this time! We went on our first date to Billy Bobs the next weekend and saw Mike Ryan play. We two stepped on the dance floor all night (really Ben tried to ‘teach me’ because he’s convinced I always try to lead) and loved watching Mike play. After that we’ve pretty much been inseparable ever since.. well except for the fact he was offshore and then I started travel nursing. The distance never really affected us though and we make it work impressively well. We moved to Longview in 2021 and Ben fell in love with it! Thank the Lord! I’ve always said that I needed to find a city boy with a little bit of country in him, make him fall in love with me and move him to Longview… mission accomplished! We are so excited to celebrate with y’all in October! Thank you everyone in our lives who love us and have help shape us to be who we are today. Especially thank you to Natalie, Emily and Janell who lead me to my best friend and love of my life!
