From Morgan's perspective: my parents & Aunt Karen had a trip planned to visit in April! I was trying to grow out my nails and had asked Shea AND Amanda if I should go get them done.. they both said no so any suspicion I had about Hayden proposing while my family was in Wichita went out the window. Plus my sister wasn't going to be here. Or so I thought... Well I got home from work on Friday and my sister was IN OUR BEDROOM. If you need a good laugh, ask one of us for the video of me nearly peeing my pants I was so frightened when she jumped out from behind our bed. Kenz told me Hayden had no clue she was in town so again, I had no lingering suspicions. Saturday rolls around and it was a family day.. Ma, Dad, Aunt Karen, Kenz, Hayden, & I loaded into the car to go shopping. Well, guess what! We got a flat tire. Hayden & Dad changed it, we headed to Discount Tire, and thankfully the liquor store was across the parking lot. Thankfully, Amanda was in town so she & Suzie picked us up so we could go back to the house, relax, and get ready for the dinner we had planned with Hayden's parents. I was content just wearing my hair in a bun and calling it good but Kenz made sure I did my hair and wore the right jeans! The next event of the day was heading to Shea & Adlai's to let out Millie, Pam, and Kaiser since they were out of town at a wedding. The fam planned to drive separate so at this point.. it's just Hayden & I. The dogs were excited to see us and I was out back playing with Millie & Pam while Hayden went in to let Kaiser out of his kennel. Hayden convinced me to come inside so the pups could play & do their thing. Reluctantly, I went inside with him. He hustled ahead of me and stood in the living room... my eye catches some lights and a pallet (I said "wow! That is new! I love it.... wait, that's us. Why does Shea have us up there?") and then I looked at Hayden who was staring at me intently, held out his hand, and calmly said my name. If you know me at all you know I SOBBED and could not believe what was happening. When I finally got it together, Hayden asked the big question and I answered, "OF COURSE!" It was a perfect moment.. simple & just the two of us! Now for the Oscar... Hayden, Ma, Dad, Kenz, Amanda, Shea, & Adlai - They all knew. They all lied to me. Adlai never even went to the out of town wedding and was hiding in the bedroom the entire time! We get to Norton's for dinner and I find out Hayden's parents (Joey & Kelly) have known the longest... needless to say, if you need a secret kept - we have people for you!
