We just went here for the first time after doing our photoshoot with our photographers! Cocktails and food are all INSANE!
ABA!! Mediterranean goodness with a cool Austin trendy flair. Mack had her birthday dinner here. Never disappoints! Make ressy far in advance!
Dim Sum Brunch on Saturday or Sunday is amazing and $2 mimosas! Don't sleep on the soup dumplings!
When in TX!!! We can promise you that Terry Black's is just as good (if not better, that's right, I said it) than Cooper's BBQ and you can skip the 6 hour line. Still going to wait in a line - recommend calling in ahead :)
Mack & Ben's favorite go-to spot!!! Cute date night or order in even. French Vietnamese restaurant where you can get the best Pho you have ever had and have a French Macaroon for dessert. The best vibes in South Austin. Only 1 mile south of downtown. Ben's favorite: Chicken skewer pho, spicy chicken crunch spring roll Mack's favorite: Spicy pork meatball pho with extra bok choy, marinated pork spring rolls
Can sit at the Sushi Bar or in restaurant! Everything on the menu is really good :) After you eat can go to the Elephant Room Jazz bar downstairs.
Where Ben and I took our Save the Date photos! Can rent the boats for 2-3 hours and cruise along the river. Can bundle up and bring dinner and wine out there if it's cold. Tell them we sent you!
Can rent the donut boats here that can seat up to 10 people if going with a group. $100/hr to rent and you drive it yourself (they don't go fast) and bring out dinner/drinks :)
If you're wanting to get a run/brisk walk in highly recommend the Lady Bird Hike and Bike Trail downtown! Several points of entry from downtown :) PLEASE no riding electric Bird/Lime scooters on there - people will definitely yell at you and we don't want that for you.
Low-key and fun/hipster type bar on the East Side (about 6 min from downtown on east side). This is one of our faves! Known for their Mezcal selection.
in our opinion, the best speakeasy in Austin! Text us for details :) If you go, don't tell them we sent you lol - trying to keep this Austin's best kept secret still but HEY you are all of our best family and friends so we know we can trust ya!!
BYOB mini golf on Barton Springs!
We love their watermelon marg and Al Pastor tacos :) can sit on the rooftop and look over downtown if it's nice out!
Not a huge selection of food but a cool drink/HH spot with great views!
Can eat downstairs then head upstairs for their bar area for HH! Good location in close proximity to downtown.
Right by our apartment! We are definitely locals here. Beer garden with big outdoor space with AMAZING winter cocktail options.
famous bar scene! We recommend: Reina, Icenhauer's, Half Step (cocktail bar), Lucille, Bungalow, Augustine and Lustre Pearl
Shop around famous South Congress! It seems like every week there is something new here. You can get dropped off and walk along either side of the street if it's nice out. Shops, restaurants, bars, hat stores all along this strip :) Recommend: Maufrais (hat store), Gueros taco bar, Outdoor Voices Austin, Two Hands coffee, Jo's Coffee, SunLife Organics (Acai Bowl), JoAnns (mexican)
Hands down best breakfast tacos in Austin!! Can call ahead to place order before you get there to pick up or eat there. Get the all of the salsas! Mack's favorite: Bacon, egg and gouda Ben's favorite: steak egg and gouda
Amazing thai food if you're in the mood for that :) Mack's favorite: Yellow Curry with Chicken & order of Tom Kha Soup Ben's favorite: Chicken Pad Thai
