Getting to Martha's Vineyard

PLANES You can fly directly to the island! There are connecting flights to the Martha's Vineyard airport (MVY) from Boston, JFK, Laguardia and Washington D.C. Or, you can fly into BOS. Once you arrive at Logan, you will need to get to the Steamship Authority in Woods Hole, MA, to take the ferry to the Vineyard. You can rent a car, or there is a Peter Pan Bus that will take you to the Steamship Authority for $32 a person. Reservations are required for this option. The last bus out is at 6:15pm. FERRIES Tickets for the Woods Hole ferry can be purchased ahead of time or when you arrive. The ferry goes to either Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs - it doesn't matter which you take. There are two parking lots where you can pay to leave your car in Woods Hole and take a free bus to the ferry. Other ferry options include: The Island Queen: Falmouth, MA to Oak Bluffs Seastreak: New Bedford, MA to Oak Bluffs; Falmouth, MA to Edgartown; or NYC Port East 35th St to Oak Bluffs Rhode Island Fast Ferry: Quonset Point to Oak Bluffs AUTOMOBILES You also have the option to drive to the ferry and bring your car to the island. Round-trip car fare on the ferry is about $300. You will need to make a reservation far in advance - if you are considering this, please let us know and we can help organize. Car reservations are close to impossible to get last minute, so please plan accordingly. Let us know if you are interested in sharing a ride/cost with others and we can help connect you with other guests with similar schedules. We know getting to the Vineyard can be tricky-- if you have any questions please reach out to Ben or Jess and we can help you coordinate your trip! Housing on the Island

We recommend our guests stay in Edgartown, on the south-east corner of the island. There are many Airbnb and VRBOs near downtown as well as a hotels at a range of price points. We will coordinate transportation from Edgartown to the wedding ceremony. While September is the off-season, we recommend our guests book accommodations early! Feel free to reach out to Jess or Ben if you're having trouble finding housing, or if you have questions about where to stay.
