We’re getting married!

After graduating from UConn with her degree in Physical Therapy in 2018, Jessica and two of her classmates, Emily and Tim (bridal party), found jobs and moved to the Seattle, Washington area. On Thanksgiving of that year, Rebecca was out in Seattle visiting Jess and the two of them joined Emily and Tim for a volunteer event at a local steakhouse, where Joe was assisting the organizer of the event. After spending the morning volunteering, Jessica was convinced by Emily and Rebecca to go back to the restaurant the next weekend for a brunch. After brunch together, Jess invited Joe to join them for dinner and a night out. It was a great night of card games and a lot of laughs, after which Joe asked Jess out for a formal first date. After that date, it was clear to both of them that they wanted to spend more time together and there was something worth continuing. Joe's dog Ellie soon took a liking to Jess and they became buddies. The two of them spent many hours together walking and hiking all around the beautiful Cascades of Washington while Joe finished up his Aeronautical Engineering degree at the University of Washington, which led to Joe landing his dream job with Boeing. In September of 2022, Joe joined Jess and Ellie on a hike to Snow Lake, one of Jessica's favorite hiking destinations, where he proposed - and the rest is, well, here we are...
