Downtown Charleston
Downtown: Walk around and visit some of our favorite places such as Waterfront Park, Rainbow Row, and the Battery! There are also a multitude of fun and unique restaurants, or you can do some holiday shopping!
"Let It Snow"
The Charleston Place: Watch the snowfall in true, Charleston fashion surrounded by the most beautiful decorations while being able to purchase hot cocoa, cookies, and festive drinks! It happens every night at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm and is open to the public, but reservations are generally required because of limited space.
Shem Creek
Shem Creek: With just a 30 minute drive from Downtown and about 15 minutes from Daniel Island, you can find a wide array of lively restaurants, all along the waterside! You can have Tavern & Table (American), Shem Creek Crab House (seafood), Saltwater Cowboys (Southern), and many more of our favorites!
Beaches
Beaches: From Isle of Palms to Folly Beach, we have some of the best beaches to go for a calm walk or (if the weather allows) a swim! Our personal favorite is Isle of Palms, which is just a 20 minute drive from Daniel Island and 30 minutes from Downtown. There is also Sullivan's Island (25 minutes from Daniel Island and 20 minutes from Downtown) and Folly Beach (50 minutes from Daniel Island and 20 minutes from Downtown), which are both fun options!
Holiday Festival of Lights
Holiday Festival of Lights: Go to James Island County Park to experience a holiday tradition for both of our families and for us as a couple! Open from 5:30-10pm nightly, experience a driving tour of the Christmas lights and Santa's Village!
