Due to the nature of an international wedding, please RSVP as soon as you can. Please RSVP via the wedding website by December 12, 2024.
Mexican weddings tend to be on the more formal side, typically black tie events. We are definitely advocates for "wear what you want," but in general it will be a formal affair! Colors encouraged!
FUN! Mexican weddings are all about a good party. There will be lots of dancing, tequila and music late into the night. We will incorporate some traditions from American weddings!
LATE! Be mentally prepared for a late night. Mexican weddings start late and end late. You are of welcome to leave whenever you are ready, but there will be music into the AM hours.
There will be a shuttle from the Square Small Luxury Hotel to and from the wedding (it will end late!). If the times don't suit you, driving yourself, Uber or taxi is always an option. But be aware that the venue is about 40 minutes outside the city, so be sure to book them in advance. Let us know if you need any help with this! More shuttle information can be found on the "Schedule" tab.
Have no fear, the majority of people in Guadalajara understand and speak English, so you won't have a problem getting around. But if you want to freshen up on your Duolingo Spanish before coming, that would be great too!
Unfortunately, due to limited seating, we cannot accommodate children at our venue and we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding!
ABSOLUTELY! Guadalajara is the capital of the state of Jalisco (the best state in Mexico) and the home of Tequila, Mariachi and delicious food. Its a must see if you want to experience true Mexican culture.
Mexican weather is usually always pretty warm during the day. It can get up into the high 80's during the day, but it cools down to the low 50s at night, so bring light layers and something to cover up if you get chilly!
