Although Eric and Taylor have only been together since 2019, they actually met 10 years earlier in 2009, when they both attended Marist High School. Freshman year, Taylor spotted a cute boy in her Algebra class named Eric. He was the star of the soccer team, had the perfect Justin Bieber hair cut, and always was making the entire class laugh with his shenanigans. Taylor, the star of the JV cheerleading squad, was equally as cute and funny, but was too shy to talk to the cute boy in her class. So it wasn't until senior year when Taylor and Eric had AP Chemistry together that they developed a friendship through sharing homework answers and bonding over not knowing what was going on in class. The summer after graduation in 2013, they shared their first kiss. They did not see each other again until 5 years later, in October 2018, when Taylor saw on Snapchat that her friend Cat was at a bar with Eric. Taylor immediately texted Cat saying "OMG you're with my high school crush!". Cat of course, being the great friend she is, immediately showed Eric the message and invited him over to her house for the after party, where Taylor and Eric were finally able to reconnect. They started dating a few months later at the start of 2019, and have been inseparable ever since. Eric proposed at the Maggie Daly Ice Rink in Chicago on December 17th, 2022. It was the easiest yes Taylor has ever said.
