Our first date was brunch at The Montauk in Old Town Scottsdale. We both say it was the best first date we've ever been on. Since Cole was traveling to Scottsdale with his family, he ripped off the bandaid and told me he was only just visiting from Seattle. We decided to spend the whole day together, ended up meeting and having dinner with his dad the same night (name another couple who meets the family on the first date), and saw each other two more times while he was in town. On our last date, we decided we had too great of a connection to not see each other again. And so began our long distance journey :) Two months into dating, we went on a cruise to the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas with Cole's best man, Christian, and his wife Jessica (again, a bold move that paid off). Everything was amazing until we both got sick from the water after cliff jumping in the DR. We'll spare you the details but needless to say, we got to know each other real quick. After a year and a half of adventures, endless laughter, highs and lows, and what feels like a million flights back and forth from Scottsdale to Seattle, Cole proposed in New York City on my birthday. We were taking a horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park when he popped the question. It was like a real life fairytale. We now live in Seattle with our Bernese Mountain Dog pup, Scout. We're so thankful for all of our family and friends who have supported us along the way and are now joining us to celebrate our marriage. Cheers, and we can't wait to see you on April 19th!
