Welp. We trusted the US Postal Service to deliver them when we put them in the mailbox in December. Turns out that mailbox gets broken into fairly frequently. So they are scattered to the wind! Instead, we hope to send out invitations in February 2023 so everyone can partake in the affair!
Absolutely! No restrictions on that front!
Chill at any of the many hotels in Downtown Greenville! Most are within walking distance of the venue and we have recommended lodging listed under the Travel section. There are also many hotels located outside of Downtown Greenville near areas such as the Haywood Mall or near Pelham Road that are also ~ 20 minutes away from the venue to match everyone's price points.
For our mobility-limited guests, we will be chartering a car service to aid in transportation to and from the venue as well as hotel. Please make sure to let either the bride or groom know if you will need these accommodations.
Greenville offers many things to do for its residents. If you are interested in taking in nature, there are plenty of nearby parks to explore (including the Reedy Falls Park just around the corner)! If you enjoy history, Greenville has a host of museums located downtown for you to explore--including the Shoeless Joe Jackson Musuem! If you have a hankering for good Carolina BBQ, look no further than Mutt's BBQ (Taylors,SC--not too far away) or some of the local spots downtown such as Hometeam BBQ ( a med school favorite from Charleston, SC). Bask in the glory of Carolina Gold!! If you like shopping, Greenville Main street is the place to be! Cute boutiques and trading posts galore speckle the region and you're sure to find something you like.
Attire for the event is cocktail or formal attire. Whichever is most comfortable to you. Complete cosplay costumes are not necessary (though would be super cool).
Of course there will be cocktail hour right after the ceremony! While the wedding party takes a million pictures, you guys will enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres as well as an open bar (please tip your bartender accordingly)! We will have other refreshments available such as soda, water, and tea for those that do not partake in alcohol. The cocktail hour will occur on the first floor with neat sculptures and artwork! Live music will also be occurring at this time.
Yes! The Huguenot has one elevator to help guests transition from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and to the reception. It can fit ~ 6 people at a time, so make sure to plan your footwear accordingly.
We will have a buffet-style reception starting with a salad. Food provided will be a mixture of chicken and beef entree options with vegetarian plates made ahead of time for our guests. We will have multiple sides as well to fill you up before you dance the night away.
